History:
      In 1946, following the end of World War II, General established several manufacturing facilities in Montreal, Canada, to produce high-quality Commercial, Industrial woodworking, and metalworking machinery. During the past 70 years, the general name grew to represent several generations of technical, high precision equipment.
      In 2014, General International was acquired by DMT Holdings Inc., one of the largest global manufacturers of wood andmetalworking machinery and air compressors. This acquisition created the perfect combination of North American market expertise and large-scale manufacturing capabilities with the exciting opportunity to drive company growth and expand on its already successful brands and product lines.
      Today, General International's branded Green Line of industrial products is considered the gold standard of woodworking and metalworking machinery. With the recent edition of the new Redline and Excalibur branded product General International has expanded its customer base from a wide range of metalworking, woodworking businesses to include contractors and homeowners.
